UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to engage in collaborative primary care patient-centered care. You will support physicians and nurses in the clinical setting, provide patient education, and help coordinate care with a multi-disciplinary team.

This role emphasizes routine patient care, adherence to HIPAA/OSHA, and strong EMR proficiency to ensure efficient clinic operations and quality outcomes for patients.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• 1+ years of clinic experience or related experience in a medical setting.
• Computer experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA/HIPAA compliance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• As part of a multi-disciplinary care coordination team, addresses total patient needs including medical, psychosocial, and cultural factors.
• Facilitates communication among care team members and documents in EMR.
• Provides patient care and assists physicians with exams and procedures.
• Offers patient education and self-management support.
• Triages phone calls and records Telephone Encounters in the EMR.
• Maintains cleanliness and stock levels of exam rooms and supplies.
