Job summary

BayCare Health System seeks a Patient Care Leader (PCL) at Morton Plant Hospital to lead nursing practice on the patient care unit and coordinate comprehensive patient care. This role provides 24/7 accountability for assigned patients and ensures delivery of high-quality, complex nursing care within a hospital setting.

The PCL will promote quality care, drive outcomes, and collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain exemplary patient experiences.

Qualifications

• RN license with current licensure to practice in Florida.
• BLS certification required; ACLS if department requires.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of acute care RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice on the patient care unit.
• Ensure delivery of complex nursing care with accountability for outcomes.
• Provide 24/7 accountability care for assigned patients.

Position Description: Patient Care Leader

• The Patient Care Leader (PCL) is a clinical nurse who leads the practice of nursing and manages care on the patient care unit.


• This nurse is proficient in the delivery of complex nursing care and continuously promotes quality care assuming a broad level of accountability for outcomes.


• The Patient Care Leader provides 24 hour/ 7 day accountability care for assigned patients.

Requirements

Certifications and Licensures:
