Responsibilities

• Provides clerical and administrative support, including answering phones, scheduling, typing documents, and back-up support.
• Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations and sterilizes equipment and rooms.
• Interviews patients to obtain information and coordinates medical records.
• Communicates treatment procedures, medications, and instructions to patients.
• Collects blood, specimens, and may perform routine laboratory tests.
• May assist in patient preparation for physician examination.
