Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and schedule optimization. You will coordinate with clinicians and optical teams to ensure smooth transitions and high-quality experiences for every patient.

The role requires clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will verify insurance, enter data into EMR, support recalls, and help maintain an organized front office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn practice management systems (EMR).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication for patient service.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to proactively identify issues and contribute to solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain patient and practice confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; serve as the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules.
• Confirm appointments and send reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and demographics; enter data into EMR.
• Explain insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documents for visits.
• Enter charges, collect payments, and support claim preparation.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to minimize bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth transitions.
• Support recall and reactivation outreach for ongoing care.
• Maintain an organized front office; perform other duties as needed.
