Job summary

Penn Medicine is a leading academic medical center dedicated to patient care, research, and education. The Nursing Support Associate will help maintain a safe environment, transport patients, and stock unit supplies while supporting regulatory readiness and infection control practices.

Under supervision, you will collaborate with nurses and hospital staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality service to patients and families in a complex clinical setting.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 0-1 years of prior healthcare, hospital, customer service, or supply chain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment to support patient care.
• Transport patients and ensure timely movement within the unit.
• Inventory, stocking, and ordering of unit supplies and equipment.
• Provide access to essential equipment and supplies for team members.
• Collaborate with nurses, nursing assistants, unit secretaries, environmental services, and others to ensure safety and smooth operations.
• Support regulatory readiness and infection control practices, including PPE availability and area cleanliness.
