Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Equivalent Experience: Nursing Assistant Course—successful completion of hospital onsite course during first two weeks of orientation and prior to patient care assignment.
• BLS/Basic Life Support certification required for healthcare providers.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists nurses in the delivery of nursing care through participation in the nursing process.
• Demonstrates respect for patient dignity and privacy in a professional environment.
• Performs duties and documents as assigned to support unit efficiency and patient care.
• Maintains unit cleanliness and proper handling of supplies and equipment.
• Communicates observations and patient needs to the nursing team.

Education
