Job summary

Odessa Regional Medical Center in Odessa, TX is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across patient areas, restrooms, and public spaces while upholding safety and confidentiality.

You will operate cleaning equipment, follow infection control procedures, and support a welcoming environment for patients and visitors. Shifts include day, evening, or night as scheduled. High school diploma or GED preferred; 1–3 months related experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related working experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all assigned cleaning tasks professionally, upholding the integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and public spaces.
• Complete work assignments efficiently and within designated timeframes.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and supplies in accordance with safety and procedural guidelines.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment properly and safely.
• Adhere to patient confidentiality protocols at all times.
• Provide directions and assistance to visitors when requested.
• Introduce self to patients, families, and visitors to foster a welcoming environment.
