Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking an Env Svcs Worker/Housekeeper to clean and maintain a hygienic hospital environment across patient and non-patient areas. The role requires performing routine cleaning tasks, following safety policies, and supporting project-based cleaning activities as needed.

The position emphasizes teamwork, patient and family interaction, and adherence to service excellence standards while performing duties under supervision in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and communicate in English verbally and in writing.
• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service areas in the hospital according to area assignments (sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting).
• Participate in tasks like wall/window cleaning, light fixtures, upholstery cleaning, curtains/drapes, vents, restrooms, carpet extraction.
• Work under supervision completing simple, standardized tasks and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Follow additional job-related instructions and report unsafe conditions to management.
