Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services technician to provide janitorial services in a hospital setting, with emphasis on operating rooms, patient rooms, and public areas. Under general supervision, you will perform floor care, cleaning, disinfection, and waste handling using hospital-grade chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 1–2 years in environmental services.

Responsibilities

• Vacuums carpeted surfaces and damp mops hard floors.
• Assists the supervisor in orientating new housekeeping assistants.
• Performs general and heavy cleaning in offices, patient rooms, labs, and public areas using hospital-approved chemicals.
• Cleans bathrooms, windowsills, waste baskets, and disposables.
• Operates cleaning equipment and handles waste and biohazardous material as required.
