Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Medical Practice Patient Representative for the Primary Care location in Mahopac, NY. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, with hours ranging from 7:45am to 6:00pm, for an 8.5-hour day.

The position provides clerical and administrative support, coordinating patient care activities and ensuring accurate patient data and scheduling across practices. Travel between practices may be required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred, Data Entry, Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and communicate effectively.
• Verify patient information, demographics and insurance details.
• Answer phones, route calls, take messages and communicate with EMR.
• Register, verify and schedule appointments, tests and referrals.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments per office protocols.
• Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable.
• Collect co-pays and reconcile deposits.
• Obtain and coordinate record retrieval for new and established patients.
• Process intake and documentation as needed.
• Fulfill compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Demonstrate reliability and attendance; perform other duties as required.
