Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical office, orthopedic practice, or healthcare customer service preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and medical scheduling software preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent customer service with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Register new patients and update demographic and insurance information accurately.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls while addressing patient questions and concerns.
• Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments per office policies.
• Maintain accurate EMR records and ensure patient information is up to date.
• Coordinate with physicians, medical assistants, and team members to support patient flow.
• Protect patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
