Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical teams across CareNow locations. The role emphasizes patient care, room preparation, injections, lab support, and coordination of follow-up care.

You will work closely with physicians and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow. Qualified candidates have 1+ year clinical experience, an accredited Medical Assisting program, and willingness to obtain certifications within 30 days.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is very helpful.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program (BOTP) is required.
• Certification from the AAMA is helpful but not required.
• Ability to obtain Breath Alcohol Screening and Drug Screening certifications within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and instruments including sterilization.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with transfers and follow-up care scheduling.
• Coordinate physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
• Screen calls for referrals to physicians and practitioners.
• Willing to travel/float between MD Now locations within assigned area.
