Job summary

Providence Medical Group Southwest Washington is seeking a Patient Care Coordination Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care teams by handling incoming calls, messages, and care coordination within MA scope. You will document in the EHR, promote patient experiences, and escalate clinical concerns to licensed staff.

This is a full-time, on-site role in Olympia, WA with competitive benefits. Requirements include MA coursework or apprenticeship and active Washington MA certification, with BLS

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program with hands-on clinical training for medical assistants.
• Graduate of a registered MA apprenticeship program.
• Completed two years of medical training in the US Armed Forces.
• Minimum one year MA experience including vital signs, injections and medication administration.
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification.
• Within 30 days: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 6 months of healthcare experience.
• 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle centralized management of patient calls and electronic messages within the MA scope.
• Facilitate timely communication between patients and care teams and document in the EHR.
• Escalate clinical concerns requiring assessment to licensed clinical staff.
• Support care coordination activities and promote efficient workflow.
