Job summary

PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy, located in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator in a hybrid role that combines remote work with on-site time. This non-exempt, full-time position focuses on coordinating prescriptions, supporting medication adherence, and delivering excellent patient care.

The role collaborates with pharmacists, insurance specialists, prescribers, and internal teams to ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance while maintaining compassion and confidentiality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED credential.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport, actively listen, and communicate clearly with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
• Ability to balance empathy and professionalism while managing a consistent flow of patient interactions, documenting accurately, and navigating multiple systems simultaneously.
• Ability to handle confidential patient information with professionalism and follow applicable healthcare, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Comfortable using computers and technology as part of daily work responsibilities, with the ability to quickly learn new software, navigate multiple applications simultaneously, and adapt to evolving systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients through both inbound and outbound calls to coordinate prescription shipments, answer questions, address concerns, and promote adherence.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, prescribers, pharmacists, manufacturer partners, and other internal teams.
• Communicate with order management technicians, pharmacists, nurses, fulfillment, and leadership to support compliance efforts and resolve concerns or questions identified during patient interactions.
• Track and document patient and caregiver interactions accurately and in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Follow direction from pharmacists and leadership on specialty call compliance program activities.
• Complete additional projects and activities as assigned.
