Job summary

Highbar Physical Therapy in Seekonk, MA is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to join our clinical team. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, relay insurance details, and provide authorization information to patients.

You will relieve clinicians of administrative duties, manage phone lines, verify benefits, document transactions, and support therapy staff with patient flow and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Two to three years of related experience and/or training
• Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and directs them within the clinic.
• Schedules appointments and manages calendar to fill openings.
• Collects co-pays and documents payment transactions.
• Verifies insurance benefits and provides authorization details to patients.
• Answers multi-line phone system and collects patient demographics for initial visits.
• Maintains patient charts and documents conversations for future reference.
• Assists therapists with administrative tasks and sharing patient information as requested.
• Explains benefit details, including authorization requirements, copays and deductibles.
