General Duties:
  1. Welcome all patients with an inviting and positive attitude.
  2. Check patients in and collect copays.
  3. Check patients out and schedule follow-up appointments.
  4. Ensure provider's schedules are full and if there are openings call patients on the waitlist.
  5. Schedule and confirm appointments for existing patients.
  6. Assist provider with filling out paperwork brought in by the patient and/or faxed by insurance company/EDD and assist with letters when needed.
  7. Relay patient messages/concerns to providers via email and effectively communicate back to patients what the provider's response is.
  8. Answer and return patient calls as well as respond to voicemails promptly.
  9. Be a team player willing to help where needed.
  10. Maintain flexibility with locations if coverage is needed.
  11. Handle a high volume of office tasks effectively.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Previous experience or training/education in a medical facility.
  2. Friendly, outgoing, and “people oriented”.
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  4. Proficient telephone and computer skills.
  5. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage stress in a dynamic environment.
  6. Professional interaction with all staff levels.
Education and Experience
  1. High School Diploma required; college or equivalent preferred.
  2. Psychiatric practice experience recommended.
  3. Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  4. BLS/CPR Certification required.
Compensation and Benefits:
  1. Competitive package including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.
  2. Range: $22-$24 per hour.
