Job summary

Radiology Imaging Associates is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator for our Greenwood Village, CO location to greet, register, and assist patients throughout their visits. You will schedule procedures, verify insurance, collect copays, and coordinate communications between patients, referring offices, and the billing team.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of medical office experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • English reading, writing and speaking required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients professionally.
  • Schedule and coordinate procedures and appointments.
  • Verify insurance information and collect copays.
  • Respond to patient and referring office questions and triage them as needed.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms.
  • Load radiology images into Intelleviewer.
  • Assist patients with financial questions and connect them with appropriate resources.
  • Communicate with referring physician offices to obtain orders.
  • Assist the billing office by collecting patient information and insurance details.
  • Explain insurance and expected service costs clearly.
  • Prepare letters, memos, and reports within deadlines.
  • Perform additional clerical duties as assigned.

Patient Care Coordinator | Greenwood Village, CO
Reporting to Supervisor, Patient Services

Employment Type: Full Time. This role is 100% on-site.

Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is comprised of over 100 radiologists. All with exceptional skill and expertise, most are fellowship-trained in their field of specialty for additional certification. We are dedicated to accurate and efficient patient diagnoses no matter their condition. Our interventional radiologists perform some of the most leading-edge treatments available today. We partner with primary care physicians and hospitals across Colorado and Hawaii to provide a resource for both patients and physicians.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Warmly greet and register patients, helping each visit begin smoothly and professionally
  • Schedule and coordinate procedures and appointments with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Verify insurance information and collect copays as appropriate
  • Respond to patient and referring office questions, resolving concerns directly or triaging them to the appropriate team member
  • Escort patients to exam rooms as needed
  • Load radiology images into Intelleviewer
  • Support patients with financial questions by connecting them with appropriate resources within RIA/ISJ/HCA
  • Communicate with referring physician offices to obtain orders and share necessary information
  • Assist the billing office by collecting patient information, matching insurance details and reports, and communicating any issues or delays
  • Discuss patient insurance and expected service costs in a clear, professional manner
  • Compose and/or transcribe letters, memos, and reports within prescribed time frames
  • Pull procedure and office visit reports as neededPerform additional clerical duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1–2 years of medical office experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Quick learner with the ability to understand Interventional Radiology procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

Compensation is between $20 and $23 per hour

In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associate’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Applications will be received on an ongoing basis, and this position will remain open until filled.

Full-time employees will become eligible for benefits on the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. Part-time employees may have access to some of these benefits, which may be on a pro-rated basis. PRN employees are not eligible for benefits.
