Job Title: Telehealth Care Coordinator

(Also suitable: Virtual Intake Specialist, Remote Referral Coordinator, or Virtual Medical Assistant)

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate individual to support clinical and administrative operations in a virtual healthcare environment. This role involves patient intake, care coordination, referral management, and assisting providers to ensure seamless delivery of telehealth services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual patient intake, including verifying insurance, collecting demographics, and updating medical histories.
  • Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and follow-up appointments with specialists or other providers.
  • Support clinicians during virtual visits by documenting notes, managing schedules, and troubleshooting patient access issues.
  • Communicate with patients via phone, email, or telehealth platforms to confirm appointments, provide instructions, and address inquiries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain continuity of care and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and always uphold patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a medical office, telehealth, or healthcare support role (e.g., Medical Assistant, Intake Coordinator, Referral Coordinator).
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and virtual care platforms.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) is preferred but not required.
