Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Customer Care Specialist for the Customer Service Call Center. The role focuses on resolving patient billing, coding, service, and insurance concerns, using MedStar systems to ensure accurate documentation and timely resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient accounting or related healthcare field is required.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for patient billing inquiries via phone, mail, fax, and email.
• Identify the nature of inquiries and resolve cases using MedStar billing systems and resources.
• Educate patients, build rapport, and focus on service recovery to enhance patient experience.
• Annotate and document inquiries and ensure proper processing of invoices and claims.
