Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Customer Care Specialist to join our Customer Service Call Center in Maryland. You will handle patient billing inquiries, resolve issues using IDX and SMS, and act as the single point of contact from start to finish to improve the patient experience.

The qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of customer service, 2 years in patient accounting or related healthcare field; an Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advocates on patients’ behalf to resolve issues and build trust.
• Serves as the single point of contact for patient inquiries and resolutions.
• Uses MedStar Health billing systems and Payment Portal to assist with billing and payments.
• Ensures proper documentation and adherence to billing requirements.
