Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Customer Care Specialist to join the Customer Service Call Center in Maryland. The shift runs 9:30am–6pm, Monday through Friday, with a focus on patient billing inquiries and service recovery.

You will resolve issues using IDX and SMS billing systems, educate patients, and build rapport to enhance the overall experience. Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, knowledge of medical billing, and the ability to serve as a single point of contact from start

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years’ experience in patient accounting or related healthcare field.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advocates for patients, resolves inquiries via phone, email, and mail.
• Uses MedStar billing systems and portals to assist customers with billing and payments.
• Ensures accurate documentation and proper retention of case records.
• Maintains QA standards and meets call handling targets.
