Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Nursing Attendant on the designated Patient Care Unit, working every other weekend and holidays. You will perform unit clerical duties and direct patient care under RN supervision, ensuring accurate documentation and coordinated communication across the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, maintaining clean patient rooms, recording vitals, supporting with transport, and participating in mandatory education and QA initiatives to uphold care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Nurse Assistant course or equivalent required.
• Prior experience as Nursing Attendant or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care assignments and monitor status changes with the RN.
• Assist with ADLs including feeding, bathing, toileting, and mobility.
• Maintain clean, organized patient care units and equipment.
• Document patient information and care in hospital systems.
• Notify staff of new admissions and coordinate communications.
• Participate in continuing education and unit quality initiatives.
