Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Associate to assist in caring for patients under RN/LPN supervision in the 5b OBGYN unit. This part-time position includes an accredited PCA training program and opportunities for advancement within Mercy.

Training begins with a 175-hour program if no prior experience, plus BLS within one month of hire; completion of PCA competencies within 3 months. Competitive benefits and supportive team environment offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CNA/CPTC preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Must meet physical requirements (lift 50 pounds, stand/walk).

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document in the EMR system.
• Assist with meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation, mobility, and patient transport.
• Clerical support duties as needed.
• Phlebotomy and wound care as applicable.
