Job summary

The Patient Care Associate at Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, NY performs direct patient care tasks under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, phlebotomy, EKG, and documenting observations to support patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; CNA/PC Technician certification preferred.
• Certified Nurse Assistant or Certified Patient Care Technician preferred.
• Phlebotomy and EKG skills preferred.
• Strong communication and patient-care ethic required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with mobility, hygiene, and feeding as needed.
• Document observations and report changes to RN.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKG, and collect lab specimens as delegated.
• Maintain safe, clean patient environments and follow infection-control policies.
