Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Associate to join the interdisciplinary team. Working onsite, you will support nursing staff and perform clinical tasks to promote safe, compassionate patient care in a busy hospital setting.

The role requires CNA, PCT, MA or EMT certification (or current enrollment in related training). Nursing students enrolled in BSN or direct-entry Master’s programs are strongly preferred, and 32 hours per week are scheduled.

Qualifications

• Certification as CNA, PCT, MA or EMT required unless enrolled in NWH PCA Training Program or a nursing student who has completed fundamentals of nursing with clinical component.
• Nursing students hired as PCAs: preference for BSN or direct-entry Master’s programs.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN), the PCA assists in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.
