Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Nursing Assistant for Newton-Wellesley Hospital onsite. Under RN direction, you will join an interdisciplinary team to support safe, compassionate patient care and perform essential clinical tasks such as vital signs, specimen collection, and patient mobility.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years healthcare experience, and BLS certification. The role offers 32 hours per week with day shifts, onsite at 2014 Washington Street.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Healthcare experience 1-2 years required.
• LNA credentials preferred (NH)

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned, including, but not limited to, vital signs, EKGs, bathing and other sanitary needs.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked, equipped, and cleaned as needed.
• Performs specimen collection and documents all relevant information.
• Retrieve equipment, set up equipment, clean between patient uses, report malfunctions.
• Document patient information such as height, weight, intake, output, and glucose results.
• Assist patients with food tray setup and eating if necessary.
• Communicate with nursing staff in a timely manner regarding patient care and condition.
• Receive and direct Medical Staff, personnel, patients, and visitors.
