Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join the 32-hour per week day shift, providing essential patient care under RN supervision at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. You will perform vital signs, EKGs, feeding support, and documentation, with a focus on safety and compassionate care.

This role requires high school diploma or equivalent, healthcare experience (1-2 years), and Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
• Licenses/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred.
• Nursing Assistant (LNA - New Hampshire) - New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred.
• Experience: Healthcare experience 1-2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned, including vital signs, EKGs, bathing, transferring and ambulation support.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked, equipped, and cleaned as needed.
• Perform specimen collection and document all information.
• Retrieve and set up equipment; report malfunctions per policy.
• Document patient information such as intake, output, and glucose results.
• Assist with food tray setup and feeding when necessary.
