Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (UAP) to assist in individualized patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN. You will work as part of a caring team to support patients’ wellness and participate in Mercy's PCA training program.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, willingness to participate in the training, BLS within one month of hire, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. No prior experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, CNA/CPTC or enrolled in Mercy's UAP program.
• Preferred CNA certification.
• BLS certification required within one month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist under RN or LPN in individualized patient care.
• Perform designated clinical and non-clinical tasks to support patient wellness.
• Work cooperatively as part of a team to meet patient goals.
• Complete required training within stated timelines.
