Job summary

Heritage Valley Sewickley in Sewickley, PA 15143, USA is seeking a full-time nursing assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Professional Nurse, assisting with daily living tasks and ensuring patient safety. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent; nursing assistant program or CNA certification is preferred.

Clearances must be completed within 90 days. BCLS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent bedside manner and customer service & computer skills.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances within 90 days of commencing employment.
• Preferred: nursing assistant program with proof of completion.
• Preferred: nursing student in early nursing program.
• Preferred: CNA certification and BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Professional Nurse.
• Assist with daily living activities and patient safety.
• Obtain vital signs and assist with ambulation and related tasks.
• Set up equipment and transcribe orders when indicated.
