Job summary

AHN's Heritage Valley Sewickley campus is hiring a Patient Care Associate I for the Progressive Care Unit. This full-time role involves direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting with daily living tasks, vital signs, and patient safety, including monitoring equipment and basic charting.

The position requires a high school diploma, excellent bedside manner, and ability to pass clearances within 90 days; nursing assistant training or CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA or nursing student with basic clinical exposure preferred.
• Successful clearance completion within 90 days of starting employment as per HR policy.
• Excellent bedside manner and customer service and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Professional Nurse.
• Assist patients with daily living activities (dressing, bathing, feeding, toileting).
• Monitor vital signs, safety, and respond to call lights.
• Assist with ambulation, turning, and patient comfort; manage basic equipment usage.
