Job summary

Mercy seeks a Patient Care Assistant in Ardmore, OK. Under supervision of the RN or LPN, you will assist in individualized patient care and perform designated clinical procedures and supportive tasks to promote wellness.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC enrollment or co-worker status, BLS within 1 month, and completion of PCA competencies within 3 months. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing long shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC or enrolled in a healthcare career program and/or co-worker of Mercy.
• BLS certification required within one month of hire; PCA competencies within 3 months.
• State-required 175-hour training program if no prior experience; completion within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under RN or LPN direction, assist in individualized patient care to achieve wellness.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.
• Work cooperatively with team and contribute to group goals.
