Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to assist in individualized patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN. You will perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks, while working cooperatively with team members to meet patient-centered goals.

Education includes a high school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC or enrollment in a healthcare career program; BLS is required within one month, with PCA competencies due within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CNA/CPTC or enrolled in a healthcare career program
• BLS certification within one month of hire
• Complete PCA competencies within 3 months of hire
• Able to push, pull and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts
