Job summary

Hebrew SeniorLife is hiring a Patient Care Associate (PCA) to support residents with daily activities, maintain a safe, clean environment, and participate in care planning. The PCA will contribute to a home-like setting while upholding high-quality care and patient dignity, in collaboration with the nursing team and other staff.

The role requires CNA certification or active enrollment in nursing school, English fluency, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Fluent English skills required – verbal and written.
• Computer literacy required.
• Flexibility and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must complete mandatory HSL/HRC educational requirements and programs.
• Pass PCA skills test with 70% or greater.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and respond to the needs of the patients and families.
• Recognize and communicate changes in the patient’s condition to the appropriate nursing team member.
• Adhere to Safe Patient Handling practices.
• Participate in Quality Improvement programs.
• Assist patients with personal care as indicated in care plans.
• Document care delivered in the patient’s EMR and report incidents as needed.
