Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Heart Saver certification required within 60 days of hire.
• MA/CNA/LNA certification or diploma preferred or direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists the registered nurse in the care of patients with patient-centered focus.
• Collects, records, or communicates clinical data to the supervising nurse.
• Transports or accompanies patients as needed within the hospital.
• Assists in patient teaching.
• Communicates changes in patient status to the supervising nurse immediately.
• Documents routine care parameters and records admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Responds to patient/family requests promptly.
• Performs and remains competent in required skills.
• Acts as a constant observer when requested.
