Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational, customer service, and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Acts as front line representative of the patient care area.
• Orders and restocks supplies, monitors for outdates.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment; cleans equipment and patient rooms.
• Performs low-level disinfection and follows infection prevention principles.
• Conducts quality checks of point-of-care testing machines.
• Checks medication refrigerators and records temperatures when applicable.
• Escorts patients and assists with mobility as needed.
• Answers phones and supports department operations.
• Prepares patient forms with demographics.
• Delivers specimens to the lab and runs errands as required.
• Participates in regulatory readiness activities and safety practices.
• Performs medication conveyance per policy when applicable.
• Assists with room setup, patient readiness for procedures, and discharge tasks for inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Supports admission, charting, and room turnover activities as needed.
• Stocks central equipment and maintains tidy nurse/server areas.
