Qualifications

• Fast-paced environment requiring strong organizational, customer service and prioritization skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients.
• BLS within 30 days is required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as front line representative of the patient care area.
• Orders and obtains supplies, restocks, and monitors for outdates.
• Maintains clean and safe environment; cleans equipment and rooms.
• Performs low-level disinfection; follows infection prevention principles.
• Performs quality checks of point-of-care testing machines.
• Checks medication refrigerator temperatures and emergency stations as appropriate.
• Escorts patients and assists with wheelchairs as needed.
• Answers telephone calls and assists in department operations.
• Prepares patient forms with demographic information.
• Delivers specimens to the laboratory and runs errands.
• Participates in regulatory readiness activities and safety procedures.
• Participates in medication conveyance per policy.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• For clinic/outpatient settings: greets patients, rooms patients, prepares for procedures, assists with questionnaires, maintains HIS-compliant charts.
• For inpatient settings: assists with admissions, discharge readiness, room setup, and hourly patient rounding; assists with meals and personal care; aids with patient movement and call lights; stocks equipment.
