Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks a Patient Care Assistant/Unit Administrative Assistant to support the interprofessional team in delivering high quality care. You will perform basic nursing assistant tasks, assist with activities of daily living, and communicate with physicians and staff under a licensed nurse's supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 months CNA/CMA/PCA experience preferred.
• 1 year of secretarial/office experience or six months internal cross-training within Houston Methodist.

Responsibilities

• Answer unit telephone calls and facilitate transfers.
• Greet patients and visitors and provide directions and information.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team, communicate care information clearly.
