Patient Care Assistant/Tech & Clerk

Department: Livingston/Brighton Surgical Services - The Livingston and Brighton Surgery departments combine to 7 operating rooms and 3 procedural suites, averaging 50+ cases per day. Our mission is to provide high-quality care to every patient requiring surgical intervention, from preparation to recovery. We serve various service lines, including Otolaryngology, Plastics, General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Bariatrics. Our nursing staff is supported by department-based Anesthesiologists. We are proud to be a Robotic Center of Excellence.

Location: Trinity Health Livingston/Brighton

Pay: $15.79-22.11 per hour, based on applicable on-the-job patient care experience

Position Purpose

The PCA, under the supervision of a registered nurse, provides direct patient care, addressing age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs. They help create a clean, safe environment that promotes patient and family wellbeing, incorporating relationship-based care principles.

In the Clerk role, responsibilities include performing clerical duties, maintaining patient charts and unit records, stocking supplies, and ensuring availability of necessary supplies and equipment.

Shifts Available: Days

Status: Full time, benefit-eligible (80 hours per pay period, every two weeks)

Required Education and Licensure

High school diploma or equivalent required.

One to two years of related experience preferred.
