Job summary

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Corporation is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join an interdisciplinary team at 300 First Avenue, Boston. Under licensed personnel, you’ll assist with daily living activities and vital signs, contributing to compassionate patient care and recovery goals.

You will document in the Electronic Health Record, support with meals, mobility, charts, and participate in orientation of new staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• BLS, CMA, Nursing Assistant credentials preferred.
• Experience in patient care or elder care advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks including vital signs, EKGs, bathing, ambulation, feeding, and 1:1 observation.
• Document care and measurements in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Assist with meals, room stocking, and equipment setup/cleaning.
• Support admitting/discharging patients and orienting new PCA staff.
• Communicate with nursing staff and collaborate with care team.
• Maintain a positive, collaborative environment and promote patient safety.
