Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Cardiac Telemetry unit. You will assist patients with activities of daily living and support basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team.

This full-time daytime role requires BLS certification within 30 days, preferred phlebotomy and EKG credentials, and a minimum six months of acute care experience; CNA certification is preferred per facility policy.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire (preferred).
• Current EKG certification upon hire (preferred).
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $18.00 to $26.68. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
