Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (CNA) to support patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care under RN supervision in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Required: High School Diploma and Illinois CNA certification; preferred: Phlebotomy and EKG certifications, BLS within 30 days, and 6 months acute care experience. This is a full-time day shift with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification required.
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
