St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for the 3S Cardiac/Telemetry Unit in Ft. Thomas, KY.

The role covers various shifts, including PRN and on an as-needed basis, with on-the-job training and orientation provided. This position supports patient care activities under licensed staff and contributes to a compassionate care environment. The PCA coordinates clerical tasks for the unit, greets patients, assists with activities of daily living, and helps maintain safety

Qualificações

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Specialized knowledge: ability to take vital signs, body mechanics, and basic computer skills.
• Kind and length of experience: customer service experience.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients/visitors and answer calls politely.
• Complete routine tasks driven by physician orders or nurse tasks under supervision.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN direction.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, clean environment.

The PCA is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the clerical functions and duties of a designated unit/program.

• Utilizes Customer Service skills when greeting patient/visitors and answering telephone.
• Demonstrates the ability to complete worklist tasks triggered by physician orders or nurse-generated tasks under the direct supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of a RN or LPN.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comfort, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients.

Qualifications

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

• High school Diploma / GED

Specialized Knowledge:

• Ability to perform such tasks as vital signs
• Demonstrates knowledge of body mechanics
• General computer skills and applications

Kind and Length of Experience:

• Customer service experience
