Job summary

Hudson Elms Nursing Home is seeking compassionate Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our All Shifts team. You will assist residents with daily activities, hygiene, mobility, and meals, while promoting comfort, safety, and dignity in a warm, family-like environment.

Qualifications

• No certification required.
• Healthcare, caregiving, or patient care experience is a plus, but not required.
• Passion for providing compassionate, high-quality, person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Assist residents with mobility, repositioning, and transfers according to facility procedures.
• Help with meal service and provide assistance during meals as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident areas.
• Answer resident call lights and respond to resident needs promptly and with compassion.
• Observe residents and promptly communicate changes or concerns to the nursing team.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assist residents in maintaining independence and dignity in daily routines.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection-control practices.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Promote a positive and respectful environment for residents, families, and coworkers.
