Kingswood Reserve is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. The PCA will provide direct care to residents, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

This role emphasizes empathy, attention to detail, and supporting residents’ independence. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring health, engaging residents in activities, and following safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state‑approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration as needed.
• Help residents maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health, behavior, and physical condition to the nursing team.
• Assist with medication reminders and monitor for any adverse reactions.
• Foster positive relationships with residents through companionship and engagement.
• Ensure residents' living areas are clean, organized, and safe; follow infection control protocols.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, following established procedures.

Position Summary:

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) is responsible for providing direct care and support to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. This role requires empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to promoting residents' dignity and independence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Personal Care Support:
  • Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration as needed.
  • Help residents maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
• Health Monitoring:

  • Respond promptly to emergencies, following established procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Experience:

• Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Basic knowledge of caregiving techniques and safety protocols.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility and physical support as needed.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
