Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver direct patient care in a pediatric setting. You will assist with personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and daily activities while supporting families throughout care.

The role requires CNA and CPR certifications, plus a High School Diploma or GED. Hospital experience is preferred, with emphasis on pediatric care and teamwork in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care including personal hygiene, nutrition, elimination, mobility, ambulation, comfort and rest.
• Orients the patient and family to the patient care areas and assists their comfort.
• Provides delegated nursing care activities and assists caregiver in daily care, oral hygiene, weights, I&O's.
• Takes part in the discharge process under the direction of the RN.
• Keeps unit and work areas stocked appropriate to patient needs including PPE.
• Seeks opportunities to assist others when assigned work is complete.
• Provides wound and skin care under the direction of the RN, as appropriate for assigned unit.
• Transports specimens to laboratories as requested.
• Picks up blood products as requisitioned and requested by Shift Coordinator.

• Seeks opportunities to assist others when assigned work is complete.
• Provides wound and skin care under the direction of the RN, as appropriate for assigned unit.
• Transports specimens to laboratories as requested.
• Picks up blood products as requisitioned and requested by Shift Coordinator.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital setting experience
• One year of pediatric experience

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
