Job summary

MemorialCare Medical Group in Lakewood, CA is seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a 100% outpatient practice. Expect base salary with an annual incentive, Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, no after-hours calls, and Epic EMR utilization.

Preferred candidates have 1+ year in Women’s Health/OB with CA NP/PA licensure, BLS, and obstetrics experience. Comprehensive benefits and CME reimbursement are included.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Women’s Health experience as a NP or PA preferred.
• Experience with obstetrics is strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification and professional licensure in CA

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations.
• Handle prenatal care for OB patients throughout pregnancy.
• Provide contraception options including IUD placement and Nexplanon.
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests and coordinate care.

Base Salary Range*:$126,000 to $158,000

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join MemorialCare’s growing Ob/Gyn and Family Medicine practice in Lakewood, CA.

Practice Information & Position Details

• Employment opportunity with MemorialCare Medical Group
• 100% Outpatient
• Hours of operation:Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• No after hours call
• Average 15 to 21 patients per day
• EMR: Epic
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
• Implant contraception (e.g., IUD placement, Nexplanon, etc.)
• See new OB patients. Provide prenatal care throughout all stages of pregnancy.
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests

Experience

• 1+ year of experience in Women’s Health or related field as a NP or PA; 3+ years preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in Obstetrics strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR system highly preferred

Education & Licensure

• California Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing licensure or California Physician Assistant license
• Current, active, unrestricted licensure as an NP or PA
• Successful completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Board certification in Women’s Health (Preferred)
• Current BLS
• NPI and DEA
