Job summary

Bronson Lakeview Hospital is hiring a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for part-time night shifts. Under RN supervision, you will provide basic patient care, assist with ADLs, transport patients, and help with daily unit operations.

Responsibilities include documenting in EMR, communicating with RNs, and supporting safety and cleanliness. A CNA and BLS are preferred; orientation includes 12-hour day shifts in the first weeks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous CNA license preferred.
• Obtain BLS certification by the end of the orientation period and maintain it.
• For Bronson Lakeview Hospital: Certified Nurse Aide Exam within 4 months of hire if working at BCOM.
• A PCA/tech may assist in a patient safety assistant role while maintaining PCA/tech duties.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Performs activities of daily living and transports patients.
• Assists with stocking patient rooms and supplies, and supports department maintenance.
• Communicates with RN about patient status and interventions.
• Reviews plan of care with RN/PRN at shift start and documents findings in EMR.
