Job summary

The Mass General Brigham affiliated North Shore Medical Center seeks a Nurse Aide/Patient Care Assistant to support the healthcare team underRN supervision. You will assist with basic patient care, vital signs, and daily activities, helping keep patients safe and comfortable.

You will collaborate with RNs and physicians, document care activities, and help with room turnover. This role requires basic clinical knowledge, strong communication, and reliable patient handling in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare experience 1-2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned, including documenting vital signs, EKGs, bathing and other needs of patients.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked, equipped, and cleaned appropriately as needed.
• Performs specimen collection and documents all appropriate information.
• Retrieve equipment, set up equipment, clean between patient uses, and report malfunctions per policy.
• Document patient information (height, weight, intake/output, glucose results).
• Assist patients with food tray setup and eating as necessary.
• Communicate with nursing staff around patient care issues.
• Receive and direct Medical Staff, personnel, patients, and visitors.
