Job summary
HSHS St Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, WI, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Medical/Surgical unit. The role is part-time (24 hrs/wk) with night shifts (11 PM–7 AM) and every other weekend, located at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
Ideal candidates are patient-focused, mission-driven caregivers looking to apply clinical knowledge in a fast-paced environment with various acuities. Education includes a preference for a High School Diploma or GED; CNA/PCT certification required
Qualifications
- 1 year nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience; or 6 months nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience and certification as indicated below.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the state of practice is required with 6 months experience as noted above. Certification is not required for those with greater than one year experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) is required within 30 days upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Support nursing staff in the Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) unit.
- Provide patient care tasks in a fast-paced environment with varying acuities.
