Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Clinical Decision Unit–Bigelow 12 at 90 Blossom Street in Boston, supporting frontline patient care.

This onsite, 36-hour weekly night-shift role includes a $750 sign-on bonus for eligible new employees; you will work in a 31-bed short-stay pathway.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent, BLS, and relevant patient-care experience; proficiency with electronic medical records and strong customer service.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week | (3) 12-hour shifts
• Nights | 7pm – 7am
• Rotational holiday and weekend schedule

The Opportunity: Patient Care Assistant – Clinical Decision Unit-Bigelow 12

The Bigelow 12- Clinical Decision Unit is a thirty-one-bed new admission pathway that currently serves general medicine patients identified as “short stay,” defined as those requiring inpatient-level care from 48 to 72 hours.

Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification]

Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician [National Certification] preferred

Experience

Experience working in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient in computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.
